Originally from Kaneohe, Hawaii, Kimee started performing from day one. Although an only child, she competed for her Grandma’s attention with 10 other cousins. While the others were getting good grades and setting carpets on fire (true story) Kimee was running around cracking silly jokes and singing 80s pop songs. With a guitar playing father that’s a huge fan of music and a mother with a background in Filipino folk dancing, she just couldn’t help herself. Luckily, not much has changed since then. Kimee continues to perform for audiences worldwide with credits including: The Original Broadway Cast of “Mamma Mia,” and “Hi-5” the 3 X Emmy nominated TV Series on Discovery Kids. Kimee has appeared on “The Today Show”, “Live with Regis and Kelly” , “The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” and has also performed on the famous stages of the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood & Radio City Music Hall in NYC. She has also had the opportunity to participate in the 2009 Miss Hawaii Pageant as a judge…her Grandma’s favorite appearance.
In 2009, Kimee created a new show for kids called, “When I Grow Up.” A show she also wrote and directed. Catch the trailer and keep updated at www.wigutv.com.
Currently residing in sunny Los Angeles, you can catch Kimee performing sketch & improv with the comedy group “Drug Puppy” in such venues as Improv Olympic West, Upright Citizens Brigade and Second City.
When not performing, Kimee enjoys hanging with friends, attempting to re-create delicious restaurant dishes, random acts of dancing, karaoke-ing and shopping. A major fan of fashion, fun and handmade goodies, Kimee launched her own jewelry line in December 2006 called Kimeejay (www.kimeejay.com).
