About Me:
I've been an IT recruiter in Tokyo since 2000 (independent since 2004) and recently returned to Hawaii due to downturn in job market in Japan. Ramping up visa consulting activities targeting Japanese, Koreans, Chinese wanting to live in the US (students, interns, investors). Translate documents and videos (Japanese>English). Recently interested in software and website localization. Studying to be a professional genealogist (finding lost relatives in Japan).
I guess on my mother's side we were in Kaminokuni, southern Hokkaido, since the early 18th century, crossing the Tsugaru Straits with the Matsumae Clan. On my father's side, we were in Tamana, Kumamoto Pref. One great-great-grandfather went to Yokohama to see Commodore Perry and stayed around to get his photo taken (I have a copy).
