Welcome to TechHui Chester. What do you intend to use the Linux server for? A file server? Print server? If you want to do it yourself and you are just getting started I would install Ubuntu. Its probably the easiest Linux distro for beginners. There is lots of documentation online, but you could pick up Beginning Ubuntu Linux if you prefer to learn from a book.

If your need is urgent, and you aren't interested in learning about Linux, you could pay a consultant to spend a couple hours getting you set up. You are welcome to post a request for Linux consulting in the job forum.
