I noticed you are into green energy. My daughter is doing her science fair project on converting noni pulp into ethanol.

I do web development & SEO for the Hawaii travel industry and web development for some natural beverage companies on the mainland.

I hosted Andy Beal of marketingpilgrim.com last year for a SEO/Social Media conference at BYUH.

    Aaron -

Thanks. Gee, my first graduate class, management, was at UHM [1974], I have been there so many times since then, even reading at Hamilton Library so much in the 1990s. I believe that much was done by Walter Frear and Queen Liliuokalani to make Hawaii more independent. Having more UHM and HPU together in technology could Hawaii more indepedent, too.

    Aloha, Al Z

    aaron,

    This is awesome!

Do you mind if I add it as a resource?

    -Lance

ps. I've checked out your blog before, and found this entry particularly interesting.

I would imagine that the next generation would be all about technology. Especially considering that they have an advantage over previous generations, because technology is not a foreign concept to them, so there isn't the whole "resistance to change" issue to deal with.

Tokyo is crazy. It can get overwhelming at times. A love-hate relationship :-)

Hey aaron! I'm surprised someone actually read my profile! Well social justice for me covers fighting against human trafficking, especially when it comes to children, and things like serving the poor and needy. Some sites that I support would include compassion.com and ijm.org. Thanks for asking!
  • Dave Takaki

hey aaron, what's up man? hey, i got a question. i might be designing a simple 6 page website. i was wondering if you had any idea of how much to charge. if i get the job, this would be my first paid job. i'm still a student studying web design so my coding skills are weak. if you have no idea, could you maybe refer me to someone who might be able to help me?
  • Derek Ching

    Aloha Aaron,

Thanks for the warm welcome. Hope to get to know more folks here on the island within the tech community.

Thanks for the welcome, Aaron. Those interviews posted from your blog were very interesting to read.
  • Rob Farrow

Thanks Aaron...Now the real test is to see how many times I can still get in the water in the next few months...this may become an image of my past...
  • dote

Hi Aaron, well my true passion was computers but I sucked at math so bad at UH that I couldn't possibly jump mid-way through into the CS program. My math still sucks, hmm... =)
  • dote

Yeah, the Abundant Forests site was fun to work on and a great site to use... very cool ideas on how to "plant it forward", etc...
  • Joshua W. Frappier

Thanks! Yup, Unfuddle is right here in Hawaii and has been since its launch two years ago...
  • Laurence A. Lee

    Hey Aaron,

Yep, sure did. Went through the ICS program and graduated about a decade ago.
  • Greg Hester

    Hey Aaron,
Thanks for the welcome! My DigitalChalk buddies are coming to the island Sept 11th - Sept 16th. You know anyone we could show it to at UH?
  • Vince Mitchell

thanks Mika and Aaron. I think that interview was going on a year ago already....nice recall!
  • Mari-Lee

Thanks Aaron! You know what I was watching a very interesting video on your site about the different aspects or fields where you can apply your skills in computer science. I think that was so cool. Especially, nowadays there are so many discouragement in the field of computer science. I think I've encountered 2-3 guys who drop or change their com. science career because they said it's too hard. Sometimes it's really hard hearing all these things because I'm trying to motivate myself to be a really good programmer someday (or hacker like you...hehe...) and not give up.
    Anyway, mahalo for the encouragement.

    Lee
  • John Ly
