i'm a masters graduate from the UH ICS department. i love to hack, especially on Hackystat. my goal is to be the best hacker in the universe. haha. seriously, it is to learn new things every day. strive to be the best in what i do. and grow the hawaii tech industry to be a huge innovation monster.
glad to see you around.
am I the one after Ian in this network from oceanit? heiii.
just read your blog, yeah, Ian is a very nice guy! and a super busy guy too!
Thanks. Gee, my first graduate class, management, was at UHM [1974], I have been there so many times since then, even reading at Hamilton Library so much in the 1990s. I believe that much was done by Walter Frear and Queen Liliuokalani to make Hawaii more independent. Having more UHM and HPU together in technology could Hawaii more indepedent, too.
haa. it is a long story. I was a web designer when I first in. then I changed to PC repair and network admin. then I change to web development and then server and mobile development... changing around but still in computer fields.
Hi! Thanks for checking out my website! I do illustration but currently I'm just trying to learn web design. I feel I have more of a career in that area than illustration alone ;)
ps. I've checked out your blog before, and found this entry particularly interesting.
I would imagine that the next generation would be all about technology. Especially considering that they have an advantage over previous generations, because technology is not a foreign concept to them, so there isn't the whole "resistance to change" issue to deal with.
Hey aaron! I'm surprised someone actually read my profile! Well social justice for me covers fighting against human trafficking, especially when it comes to children, and things like serving the poor and needy. Some sites that I support would include compassion.com and ijm.org. Thanks for asking!
I'm at SDC Hawaii LLC over on Kapahulu Ave. Our developers are in the ajax / ruby environment. We do support for SaipanDataCom, which is the registrar for the .mp ccTLD
hey aaron, what's up man? hey, i got a question. i might be designing a simple 6 page website. i was wondering if you had any idea of how much to charge. if i get the job, this would be my first paid job. i'm still a student studying web design so my coding skills are weak. if you have no idea, could you maybe refer me to someone who might be able to help me?
Hi Aaron, well my true passion was computers but I sucked at math so bad at UH that I couldn't possibly jump mid-way through into the CS program. My math still sucks, hmm... =)
Thanks Aaron! You know what I was watching a very interesting video on your site about the different aspects or fields where you can apply your skills in computer science. I think that was so cool. Especially, nowadays there are so many discouragement in the field of computer science. I think I've encountered 2-3 guys who drop or change their com. science career because they said it's too hard. Sometimes it's really hard hearing all these things because I'm trying to motivate myself to be a really good programmer someday (or hacker like you...hehe...) and not give up.
Anyway, mahalo for the encouragement.
Thanks for the props Aaron, we appreciate it. Hopefully we'll have our new site up soon, but regardless, it always feels great to hear positive feedback.
