Where to look for contractors?

What kind of contractors? Software developers? Do they have to be on location?

I generally advertise on Craig's list, Monster and Dice. For Monster and Dice I often list not just in Hawaii but also in San Francisco indicating that we will relocate people. We get much bigger responses this way. Pay the extra fee to bold the listing. It makes a bid difference.

Depending on the type of job, I also talk to profs in the comp sci departments at UH and HPU. They both have active internship programs.

TechHui has a tech jobs forum that is starting to get decent traffic. I would post your positions in this forum. If you post today, I'll mention your openings in the newsletter going out tomorrow.

OK, I've posted the positions in the tech jobs forum. There are 1 or 2 programming positions depending on the skill set and 1 position to set up a source code management system.
