Responses to your responses:

1) OK, I'm most interested in LILT
2) I figured out how to use the PowerPoint poster. The only humbug is that I have to pay $10L for every image upload. Is there a free way to upload images?
3) I'm not clear about how you do a web page poster. I am very much interested in some space to do some building/experimenting. I'm an alumnus of the ICS department and currently under contract to do some SL research for the engineering school.
4) I'd appreciate the twitter setup. It could go right next to my powerpoint poster. My URL is http://twitter.com/PueoDave. I'd really like to learn how to set it up though.

Dave saw SL Manoa and asked:

1) Are there currently only two buildings? POST and Holmes. Does only the LILT lab have content?
2) How do I put up a PowerPoint poster like you have?
3) How do I put up a Web page poster like you have for Diane?
4) How do I put up my twitter status like Aaron and Phil?

I'll respond here for everyone's benefit:

1) There is also the Sakamaki building, and the GeoPhysics building; 4 in total. Sakamaki has an area for Ooi and for TechHui. The GeoPhysics building is about to be re-purposed for the College of education - more on that soon. Would love to see some engineers using the Holms engineering building but don't have any contacts there yet
2) I can give you a power point poster fairly easily I think, we are just using a free one - you might even be able to clone the one there - I can send you one if not.
3) the web page poster unfortunately takes more work due what seems like SL limitations, although I am no SL Guru so there might be a simpler way than we are currently doing it, but at the moment it requires adjusting land settings. Are you interested in some space? Do you have an affiliation with the University? Perhaps we can set you up with some room.
4) the twitter status thing is also something we can set up for you - we made that - don't think you can copy it at present. Will be happy to set one up for you though - have been meaning to do a load for all the people in TechHui in the TechHui section of Sakamaki, but haven't got round to it yet.

David, glad you have access. My son is off school this week, so I don't have so much time to hang in SL Manoa :-) We'll try and organize some events soon and publicize them here.

Drinkinstein Sorbet invited. Aryn Nakaoka: not sure how much it would cost, but I suspect there are such cellphones for sale in SL, I searched for cell phones in the SL browser and found one company sellin them: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Kusanagi/104/104/60

If you have a look around I imagine you can find what you want for free

Thanks Sam, I made it there. I'll be hanging around here for the rest of the day but will be in and out in RL.

Hi David and quanyin,

I've sent you both invitations to the LILT group which if you join, should give you access to the island. Search for 'LILT' and you will find the LILT island. I was looking at SLURL building, but I didn't immediately know the coordinates of the island to enter, so here is the secondlife direct link:

p.s. sorry to quanyin for the slow reply, it seems that email notification for these comments has just started up - I didn't get one for quanyin's post, but I did for David's

I'd like to get a link to Virtual Manoa. My avatar is PueoDave Lehrner. How about putting a link up in SLURL?

Hi Burt,

Cool - I've also sent you a friend request - some people have been unable to find the island in the search so we may need to be online at the same time and send you a teleport invite, but I will try to confirm - still getting the hang of all the land management settings ...

Thanks Sam. I got it. I will try to go in this weekend and explore.

Hi Burt,

Have invited you and Mary too. Let me know if you have any trouble accessing the LILT Island - search for 'LILT' in the map to find it.

I'm online there off and on - gradually putting more and more things in place.

Let me know if you'd like a tour. My Avatar name is 'Sam Solomon'.
