HB 2319 Venture Accelerator Funding Bill

The House Committee on Finance is expected to hear this bill early next week.  Your testimony in support of the bill will be an important factor in the committee's decision to allocate any funds to this effort.  Attached is the latest draft of the bill and testimony previously submitted by HSDC and HTDC.

The funding provided by this legislation will be helpful in providing the mentoring and seed capital needed to develop projects able to successfully compete for follow-on funding.  This effort will address a significant gap in our venture financing continuum.  With sufficient resources, the effort could benefit several industry clusters: IT, clean tech, and digital media, for example.
