Hey Truman - As promised: DragThing. Many thanks to Kevin Hughes for introducing me to this excellent tool.

If others know of helpful OS X utils please share!

If you're a keyboard junkie and you're not using quicksilver, you're sinning against god :) It's like Spotlight, but better. Also, Spaces is handy if you do lots of stuff at one time (Leopard only).
If you have a notebook that supports multitouch, get multiclutch. It allows you to assign custom keyboard shortcuts to different multitouch gestures on an app by app basis. That way you can add multitouch to nearly any osx app, including those with no multitouch support out of the box.
There are tons, here are some of my favs:
  • 1Password for consolidated password management
  • Skitch for screen caps
  • Growl for general notification management
  • iStumbler for finding just the right WiFi network
  • Visor for a Quake like console just when you need it
  • Things & Anxiety for to do lists
  • Twitterific to satisfy your Tweet jones
  • Flip4Mac & Perian for viewing all sorts of media formats
  • PandoraBoy to keep me in my coding groove (and now Last.fm)
Only eight hours left on a 50% off 1Password sale. I just picked up a copy because I'm tired of going back and forth with my spreadsheet to get passwords. Just bought it and installed it. Seems to work great so far.

Oh, my recent discovery: Mail Act-On -- one key tagging of messages in the Apple Mail app. (http://www.indev.ca/MailActOn.html)
