On airport parking, from teslamotorsclub.com:
Dale,Thank you so very much for bringing this matter to our attention and for your patience in waiting for a response. The Attorney General’s office has determined that while the language of the statute is not as clear as it could be, it noted that several people testified in opposition to the bill because they felt it would allow the airport to charge after 24 hours, that the legislative intent was that electric vehicles not be charged for using the public parking lots. Therefore, we have asked AMPCO to process a refund to you. Please provide a receipt or the license plate number of your E-vehicle to the attendant at AMPCO's office located at the exit booth area of the Honolulu International Airport. You don't have to park your vehicle in any of the parking structures to get to AMPCO's office. Their office is located after the lei stands. You may also call 861-1260 to get further directions on where to park for their office or verification of refund.Sidney A. There is free EV parking at the Hawaii Convention Center for cars with an EV license. Just write your license number on the back of your ticket and give it to the attendant when you leave. There may be a 24 hour max.
There are also two EV charging stations, but not free.
Comment on EV parking and charging at Aloha Stadium by Wesley Ueda, Aloha Stadium Parking supervisor:
We do have 2 spaces that are designated for the charging of electric vehicles. If both spaces are filled, we will accommodate up to 80 electric vehicles with free public parking. If you are coming to the stadium with a electric vehicle on a University of Hawaii Football game day. Our procedures are as follows: Please enter Gates 3 or 4 and park in the Upper or Lower Halawa lots. If you need to charge your vehicle, then you will need to be escorted to the designated charging area.
