This is interesting.. and could mean a fundamental change in how web applications are built today. Currently there is AJAX, which has to 'wait' for reply from the server. There is also 'Comet'.. which I hear has scalability issues. Web Sockets with 'di-directional' communication could be removing a major obstacle web apps are facing today - lack of 'server push' capabilities. Any thoughts/feedback?
