Not much traffic here... Over on Oahu the Open Govt is happening at several levels - state/county/city.  They have a webinar this week on the platform they are using.  It would be good to have some Maui participation ...

Join Us for an Introduction and Briefing on Open Data.

The State of Hawai'i will be launching its open data site at

data.hawaii.gov in July with selected datasets.  In advance of the

launch, the Office of Information Management and Technology has

arranged for an introduction and briefing from Socrata, the open data

site service provider. This 30 minute briefing will provide background

information on open data, including:

What is Open Data

How other federal, state and local government agencies are using Open Data

Why Open Data is important to Hawaii

Join us for this online webinar to see what the buzz is all about and

to get a preview of open data capabilities.

Please feel free to share this invitation with others; this is an

"Open" initiative, after all.

Hey sounds like a noble effort.  I have no artistic skills, so I'm no good at any visually oriented stuff.  Can help with everything else under the hood.

Best Regards,

Jim

Very Cool!! Thanks for starting this Michael.

I was at the Tech Hui Conference on Oahu yesterday and there was a great presentation on the egov work done in Honolulu.  Today I'm using the android bus app that came out of that recent effort.
