The University of Hawai‘i Foundation is seeking a Web Systems Analyst. The position is full time and is located on the UH Mānoa campus.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the CRM Application Manager, the Web Systems Analyst creates, refines, supports and maintains University of Hawai‘i Alumni Association (UHAA) and University of Hawai‘i Foundation (UHF) web-based solutions.  The web-based solutions include the UHAA and UHF public websites, UH alumni customer relationship management (CRM) system, corporate Intranet and other web applications that integrate with UHAA and UHF social media tools. The Web Systems Analyst is also responsible for promoting and recommending progressive and relevant web technologies to enhance online communications, identifying configuration and development needs for the various web applications, and providing technical and functional support for UHAA and UHF web-based solutions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, create and document custom web solutions and services to support operational efficiency and increased engagement of external constituencies.
  • Promote and recommend progressive and relevant web technologies to enhance online communications.
  • Implements new features on UHAA and UHF websites to include multimedia applications, and understands and implements integration with the API’s of various technologies.
  • Works closely with UHAA and UHF business users to interpret and define business requirements and determine the best web technologies to support the business needs.
  • Works with internal and external partners to integrate web tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Works closely with UHAA Chapters to continually update webpage content.
  • Manages and maintains UHAA and UHF websites.
  • Manages HTML e-mail broadcasts.
  • Stays abreast of UH alumni CRM application updates, bug fixes, system enhancements and its operational impact. Appropriately recommend the use of newly release features.
  • Provide functional and technical support for UHAA website and CRM application to end-users, coordinating with the system vendor application support and development team to resolve issues.
  • Works closely with programmers and systems analysts on system enhancement projects.
  • Constructs web page templates, supportive programming elements (forms, carts, display pages).
  • Analyzes and generates reports on site usage and web marketing campaigns.
  • Builds web surveys for information gathering.
  • Performs other duties and activities as requested.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in web page preparation, design, and maintenance.
  • Minimum of two years’ expertise in web application development, layout, implementation and support.
  • Proficient in web content authoring tools, including but not limited to Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Excellent proficiency in HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of HTML5 a plus.
  • Excellent proficiency in web programming languages, preferably C# and PHP.
  • Experience in developing and maintain applications in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and/or the .Net platform a plus.
  • Experience in developing cross-platform mobile applications a plus.
  • Must be familiar with social media tools and social media integration.
  • Must have the ability and desire to quickly learn and implement new technologies.
  • Must have familiarity with web accessibility standards and search engine optimization strategies.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based operating systems, Microsoft Office 2007 and later. The ability to also use a Mac is a plus.
  • Must have strong project management skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, sometimes with competing priorities, simultaneously.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Based at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, employee must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.  If not, employee must be able to provide an acceptable alternate method of transportation. Must be able to work nights and weekends, when necessary.
