Web Developer

MVNP is seeking a mid-level Web Developer with 5-7 years of development experience to join our growing interactive department. This is a full time position in our office on Bishop Street.

Candidates should have:

• Development experience with Coldfusion required, with additional programming language capabilities desired.
• Hands on knowledge of front-end development using modern web technologies (jQuery, CSS3, HTML 5)
• Proven experience in developing large, content driven sites.
• Knowledge of Windows based server environments and MS SQL
• Experience in integrating and extending content management systems.
• Responsive and/or Mobile website development experience
• Self-motivated problem solver who can work independently while also communicating effectively as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Works in collaboration and cooperation with both technical and creative staff
• Ability to effectively and patiently communicate with non-technical staff
• Able to work quickly and under tight delivery deadlines with focus on details
• Server monitoring ensuring consistent service reliability and working with hosting partners for timely problem resolution
• Experience in developing for multilingual solutions beneficial

About MVNP

Founded in 1946 by Ray Milici, MVNP has grown over the past 67 years to become one of the largest and most respected ad agencies in Hawaii. With accounts that include destinations, land development, shopping centers, real estate, hotels, resorts, airlines, financial institutions, health care, ocean transportation, and fast food restaurants, our expertise ranges far and wide.

In 1999, two brave employees launched the Milici Valenti Ng Pack interactive department. Client needs were slim, but it gave them an opportunity to explore this emerging medium. Since the marketplace for interactive services was still too small to support a full agency, these new capabilities were combined with other services under a new boutique agency called Firefly. Firefly became the home of interactive services, non-traditional work, direct mail, an avid suite, studio designers and a large format printer.

In the mid 2000’s, the need for interactive work multiplied. We realized that our clients would be best served by providing them with integrated marketing and advertising services. So in 2007, Firefly was moved into the MVNP offices. And while sharing the same roof added efficiencies, our clients still weren’t getting a truly integrated service experience. So in 2010, Firefly was closed and interactive services were brought back under the MVNP brand.

Since then, we’ve seen tremendous growth and creative successes in our interactive department. We’ve handled major website renewals and website developments, as well as banner campaigns, mobile & tablet work and application development.
