Main Duties
· Work closely and collaborate with business functions and development team to clarify and implement against requirements and specifications
· Collaborate, create, and submit detailed requirements and systems designs for code development
· Perform integration design and code analysis together with development team and application architects/developers to come up with the best balance of functionality vs. code quality vs. performance vs. delivery timing vs. work effort when integrating applications with portal
· Review communication and deployment plans with the application support team in order to avoid having to participate in triaging issues during deployments later
· Work in a multi-team environment balancing the support of the technical team and representing all aspects of technical implementation to the business functions
· Come up with integration and technology solutions, documented diligently in requirements documentation and if required technical specifications
· Partner and work closely with other tech leads and developers to provide and implement best practices across projects
· Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced application development team members where needed
· Create and maintain technical project plans
· Support users to resolve problems, to retrieve data and to create and run reports providing critical data
· Create and maintain user/customer facing documentation
· Development interface with Project Managers, Business Analysts & Quality Assurance
· Support with creating requirements, design and decision papers.
· Coordinate end users acceptance testing with all impacted users.
· Schedule code deployments with deployment manager and ensure all source code is under configuration management control.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and system integration; this includes websites and web infrastructure, loyalty systems, airport systems/kiosk, backend integration, E-Mail, CMS, Mobile, batch scripting
· At least 5 years of strong hands on production development experience in Microsoft ASP.NET environment (MOSS/Sharepoint experience a plus)
· Understanding and practical application of Microsoft design patterns
· At least 5 years of production experience in the design and development of information systems on ecommerce systems
· Familiarity with Agile Dev Methodologies helpful
