Kamehameha Schools is a private, educational, charitable trust founded and endowed by the legacy of a Hawaiian Princess, Bernice Pauahi Bishop. To support our operation, Kamehameha Schools is hiring for a Systems Support Specialist in the Information Technology Division. The deadline to apply is: 8/15/2014. Below are summaries of the minimum qualifications for the Systems Support Specialist position and of the Information Technology Division:

Summary of Minimum Qualifications:

  • An Associate's Degree and 2-3 years of related work experience. In lieu of an Associate's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 5 years of experience managing a Server environment/MS Windows.
  • Thorough knowledge and monitoring skills in network, interactive and host-to-host console operations to ensure resource availability to the users.
  • Thorough knowledge of system backup and recovery concepts and terminology.
  • Thorough knowledge of system security concepts and terminology.
  • Extensive knowledge utilizing Microsoft Windows Server on a distributed server network.
  • Good working knowledge of network operating systems through certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.


Division Summary: The Information Technology Division (ITD) at Kamehameha Schools, provides support to the organization and operating departments in all activities related to information technology management including: technical support applications development, systems maintenance, hardware/software solutions, security provisions, networking, planning and architecture, and instructional technologies. ITD strives to be a collaborative partner with education and business units to provide relevant and appropriate technology solutions to help the organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
