Systems/Network Administrator

Primary Responsibilities:
Charged with installing, supporting, and maintaining systems & databases; planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Includes database analysis, troubleshooting of user & hardware issues in an expedient & timely manner, and perform scheduled database maintenance. Other duties may include scripting or light programming, project management for systems-related projects, supervising or training computer users, and being the consultant for system problems. Candidate must demonstrate a blend of technical, communication, and management skills & responsibility.

Requires knowledge of operating systems and applications, hardware and software troubleshooting, and knowledge of the purposes for which people in the organization use the computers. Must be able to communicate (both written & oral) effectively to all levels of users and be able to do presentations and recommendations to management for various projects. Familiarity with MAS200, electronic data interchange (EDI) is helpful. Networking or other computer certification is a plus.

There may be times that will involve after-hours and weekend work due to special projects, deadlines, and/or system & database management. Participates in special projects and company events including physical inventories, warehouse sales, etc.

Technical skills:
Must have minimum of 1 year working knowledge and experience in the following:
- MS Access or SQL (MySql or MS SQL)
o Building and Maintaining small databases
o Functions
o Queries
o Reporting
o VBA & Macros a plus
o SQL scripting a plus
- MS Excel
o Functions
o Data Import/Exporting
o Reporting
o VBA & Macros a plus
- Windows 2000 & XP
o Basic hardware & software troubleshooting
o Knowledge of Office XP+ suite
o Use of Virtual Machines
o Remote Accessing
- Crystal Reports or similar

Education and/or Experience
A minimum of an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
