The Operations, Intelligence, and Security Business Unit currently has an opening for a System Engineer in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In a multi-domain environment will install, integrate, administer and maintain servers and workstations under the MS Windows operating environment; maintain baseline software and hardware configurations; develop and implement system protection and disaster recovery plans; develop and implement procedures to include system backups, recovery, upgrades, reinitializing and reloading systems upon installation of new software version releases, system performance monitoring, system storage allocation, distributive process monitoring and monitoring application data flow and processes; design, develop and document scripts to streamline and standardize administrative and unique tasking; plan, document and configure external system interface implementation at the functional level; conduct system deficiency analysis and prepare reports develop local deficiency resolutions to the degree possible consistent with operational site configuration management restrictions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintaining Active Directory, creating user accounts, maintaining and imaging client systems.

Required Education and Experience: A Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, at least 3 years experience in the administration, configuration and operations of DoD IT systems and Security+, Network+ or A+ certification. An additional of 4 years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Must have two (2) years experience working specifically with the following Open SSL, MySQL and Slackware Linux running Postfix/Dovecot mail server.

Desired Education and Experience: Advanced Level Linux Professional (LPIC-2) certification as well as Microsoft certifications are highly desired. As is prior experience managing a large, dynamic Enterprise Network Services environment.
