Kamehameha Schools is a private, educational, charitable trust founded and endowed by the legacy of a Hawaiian Princess, Bernice Pauahi Bishop.  Kamehameha Schools operates a statewide educational system enrolling more than 6,500 students of Hawaiian ancestry at K-12 campuses on O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i and over 30 preschool sites statewide.  Kamehameha Schools hires over 500 employees each year, and employs over 3,000 staff members throughout the organization.

To support our operation, Kamehameha Schools is hiring for a System Administrator (ITD) in the Information Technology Division.  The deadline to apply is: 7/18/2013.  Below are summaries of the minimum qualifications for the System Administrator (ITD) position and of the Information Technology Division:


Summary of Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of related worked experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or closely related field or Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field or High School Diploma or GED equivalent and at least 5 years of experience managing a Server environment/MS Windows.
  • Thorough knowledge of computing systems concepts and terminology in an enterprise environment using industry frameworks, such as COBIT, ISO, and ITIL.
  • Thorough knowledge and good monitoring skills in network, interactive and host-to-host console operations to ensure resource availability to the users.
  • Experience working with an enterprise management system (Microsoft System Center), virtualization technologies (Microsoft HyperV), SAN, and with Windows servers, Apple servers, and/or IBM AS400.

 


Division Summary:  The Information Technology Division (ITD) at Kamehameha Schools, provides support to the organization and operating departments in all activities related to information technology management including: technical support applications development, systems maintenance, hardware/software solutions, security provisions, networking, planning and architecture, and instructional technologies.  ITD strives to be a collaborative partner with education and business units to provide relevant and appropriate technology solutions to help the organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
