Sanjole is currently seeking a talented software engineer to join our team developing and maintaining wireless application software in a very large code-base. You would implement new feature requests ranging from trivial to complex and working through a backlog of bugs. You would also participate in QA on software releases and be a part of our software integration and release team. You must be comfortable with C and with at least one of the following: Java, C++, or C#. I good candidate would be systematic in their approach and be able to communicate with both other engineers and non-technical customers.

 

Essential personal and professional qualities are:

  • Must be able to rapidly pick up and orient to a large base of working code
  • Able to prioritize tasks quickly and be flexible about changing priorities
  • Able to rapidly "sketch" a problem solution in pseudo code and then implement it.
  • Comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with other developers

 

Strong preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate more than one of the following:

  • Experience maintaining a code base of 100,000+ lines.
  • Significant contributions to a large open source software project.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft C# and .Net desktop application frameworks.
  • History of successful development of Windows GUI applications.
  • Strong practical knowledge of refactoring techniques.
  • Experience in software QA or test automation.
  • Familiarity with source control systems, software development and release processes.
  • Familiarity with a variety of programming languages and software development patterns/styles.
