Job Summary: Perform applications development for web, administrative ERP system, add-on systems integrations. Work with business analysts, software engineers, contracted developers onsite and remote, using written functional specifications to define technical design requirements, develop written technical specifications, technical process diagrams, written test plans, perform coding and testing for changes, upgrades, and regression tests. Analyze and make improvements to existing systems. Oversee implementation of new functionality for administrative and other computing systems. Perform as technical lead to assign and review work of contract programmers.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, web application development, relational database principles, systems analysis, integration testing, data warehouse and business intelligence reporting.
• Working knowledge of written technical specifications and process diagrams.
• Working knowledge of state-of-the-art development tools to various application environments.
• Working knowledge of Systems Internals of mature and complex applications, including the effects on response time, multi-tasking, and migration of data.

Desired Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Computer Science.
• Five years hands-on experience either as web application developer using HTML, PHP, Java, javascript, .NET, SQL, MySql; or enterprise systems developer using PL/SQL, SQL Developer, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Linux shell script, Cognos Business Intelligence.
• Five experience with data integration (import/export, data mapping, ETL, etc.), systems analysis, written technical specifications, systems integration, regression and integration testing, production implementation planning and support.
• Past work experience creating written technical specifications and process diagrams, and coordinating applications development with others, including business analysts, remote staff and contract programmers.
• Experience with Banner ERP system, Luminis portal, Blackboard Learning Management systems, Sharepoint development.
• Polished interpersonal and verbal/written skills.
• Technical project leadership experience.
• Experience working in higher education administrative systems.
