Social Media Data Analyst - Finance Industry (intern level position)

Contix, a funded Honolulu-based startup creating a social media analytics platform for the finance industry, is looking to hire a full-time Social Media Data Analyst.

The Data Analyst will monitor and review financial news alerts and contribute to ensuring alert and data accuracy and relevance. Successful Data Analysts will have the possibility of being promoted to Senior Data Analysts / Social Media Knowledge Engineers.

The position is available immediately. Starting pay is ~$15/hour + benefits. Course credit may be available for UH students, depending on their area of study.

We cannot sponsor visas at this time. Applicants must be located in the US (ideally Hawaii), and legally able to work without any new visa requirements. We are not accepting resumes from recruiters for this position.

Requirements

1. Passion for finance / trading
2. Ability to work “market hours” – 2am HT to 11am HT (8am ET to 5pm ET) – yeah, it’s early
3. Bachelors degree, ideally in Finance, Economics or Engineering
4. Attention to detail, ability to work quickly
   
   

Nice to Haves

1. Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, French or German proficiency
2. Experience with social media
