Kamehameha Schools is a private, educational, charitable trust founded and endowed by the legacy of a Hawaiian Princess, Bernice Pauahi Bishop. Kamehameha Schools operates a statewide educational system enrolling more than 6,500 students of Hawaiian ancestry at K-12 campuses on O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i and over 30 preschool sites statewide. To support our operation, Kamehameha Schools is hiring for a Senior Systems Administrator in the Information Technology Division. The deadline to apply is: 1/4/2014. Summary of Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or closely related field and more than 7 years of related work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and over 10 years of experience managing a Server environment/MS Windows.
  • Thorough knowledge of computing systems administration, concepts and terminology.
  • Thorough knowledge and good monitoring skills in network, interactive and host-to-host console operations to ensure resource availability to the users.
  • Extensive knowledge utilizing Microsoft Windows Server on a distributed server network.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work with a variety of individuals, occasional dealing with sensitive, difficult, or confrontational issues.
  • In-depth analytical, organization, and conceptual skills to handle various projects and programs.

Division Summary: The Information Technology Division (ITD) at Kamehameha Schools, provides support to the organization and operating departments in all activities related to information technology management including: technical support applications development, systems maintenance, hardware/software solutions, security provisions, networking, planning and architecture, and instructional technologies. ITD strives to be a collaborative partner with education and business units to provide relevant and appropriate technology solutions to help the organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
