Senior IT Analyst – Aston Hotels & Resorts

Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst is highly technical and has a thorough understanding of the IT Infrastructure. Understands IT methods and applies them to projects/problems of moderate scope. Possesses strong technical knowledge and able to perform predictive analysis, monitor systems and applications and identify and resolve root causes for issues. System Administration including but not limited to Windows Administration. Assists in project management. Support configuration and interface connectivity at the property level. Provides Level three support for system and application related issues. The senior analyst may be responsible for the supervision/direction of 1-2 team members.

Roles:

• Function

Responsible for planning, managing and securing Aston Hotels & Resorts IT infrastructure. Assists with the support of all Aston corporate and property systems. Plays a key role in assisting with the planning, designing and upgrading of the current infrastructure to support new applications and technologies. Supports software and hardware upgrades to network servers operating systems and applications including email, antivirus and application servers as well as network backup integrity and recovery coordination.

• Administration

Responsible for the Administration of all Server Applications including but not limited to Windows administration. Ability to administer Group Policies and Security Policies.

• Support

Supports software and hardware upgrades to network servers operating systems and applications including email, antivirus and application servers as well as network backup integrity and recovery coordination. Support peripheral systems at a property level. PMS setup and support.

Position Responsibilities:

• 
  Provides support to all departments in researching and resolving systems and application issues.
• Proactively researches and locates necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends as they develop.
• Windows Administration
• Support PMS system at properties as well as peripheral systems such as key cards, energy management, movies, internet, etc.
• Support upgrades and patches to PMS system at properties as well as peripheral systems such as key cards, energy management, movies, internet, etc.
• Participate in all implementations of software enhancements, upgrades, and patch installations.
• Ensure compliance with Aston Hotels & Resorts Policies and Procedures.
• Assist in managing servers and their associated operating systems and software.
• Assist in managing security solutions.
• Assist in managing network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPS.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices.
• Assist in the research of technology products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
• Maintain asset management, including maintenance of inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, an access rights.
• Participates in on call rotation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position qualifications:

• Requires strong analytical and technical skills.
• Must be a self-starter and self-managing.
• 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• Hospitality experience a plus.
• Technical certifications preferred.
