Kamehameha Schools has an Senior Business Analyst (Systems and Services) position available at the KS Kawaiaha'o Plaza on O'ahu.

Education:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with 13 years of experience in an IT or software development environment doing business analysis, project management, test development and management, and user engagement support with 2-3 years of general management experience.

Or

Bachelors Degree with 8 years of experience in an IT or software development environment doing business analysis, project management, test development and management, and user engagement support with 2-3 years of general management experience.

Or

Masters Degree with 6 years of experience in an IT or software development environment doing business analysis, project management, test development and management, and user engagement support with 2-3 years of general management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to perform business analysis and understand the needs of the business as a whole and its strategic direction
• Ability to perform solution assessment and validation by verifying the correctness of a proposed solution, how to assess possible shortcomings of a solution and how to support the implementation of a solution
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
• Able to provide work samples that include analysis artifacts such as state diagrams, use cases, UI prototypes, relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, etc
• Able to provide work samples that show clear and concise business writing style

Preferred Qualifications:

• IIBA or B2T BA Certification
• Demonstrated acquisition expertise to include budgeting, contracts, and inventory.
• Experience in developing and administering project and program budgets
• Working knowledge of information technology systems and concepts which support both business and education
• Working knowledge of and experience with project management methodologies in medium to large projects
• Experience with programming languages and the applications development life cycle
• Experience in systems analysis and design, programming, supervision and project leadership. Experience in working with AS/400 or MS .NET programming, supporting Mac, PC & Client/Server systems, application software and LAN's
• Working knowledge of enterprise architecture

Duties:

• Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Investigates business systems, identifies options for improving business systems and bridges the needs of the business with the use of information technology.
• Works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to processes, policies and information systems.
• Completes analysis to understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and works with the IT team to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
