Sprout (www.sproutinc.com) was recently acquired by InMobi (www.inmobi.com) the world’s largest independent mobile ad network.  Sprout will operate as a fully independent company working with the entire mobile advertising industry to solve the HTML5 creation and delivery problem, and will continue to expand its product in the coming months by adding workflow enhancements, analytics, and innovative new ad units.
We need smart people who accomplish great things. The ability to work independently and gleefully take on varying responsibilities is required.
 
Responsibilities

• Highly methodical test engineer with deep experience in UI/UX within a high production/short development cycle environment.
• Create test plans and test cases.
• Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.
• Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines.
• Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
• Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
• Work with software development engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.
• Automate testing on mobile devices through scripting and third party tools.

 
Qualifications

• 2+ years software QA testing experience or equivalent Computer Science degree
• Experienced with standard QA and development tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles
• At least one year’s experience with HTML, SQL, Unix, Linux, MySQL, JIRA, Apache servers and Agile methodology, as well as software, data, scalability and web application testing
• Working knowledge of iPhone and Android OS, Javascript & CSS
• Familiar with mobile technologies, specifically ‘webkit’
• Familiar with the online advertising space (particularly mobile advertising) 
• Proficiency in all or most of the following:
  • Java
  • Javascript/HTML
  • Object oriented design and programming
  • Distributed computational mechanisms
• Likes to work independently and extremely self-disciplined
