Programmer/IT Computer Specialist (UH Manoa)

Qualifications Required:
The position will require experience in relational database design including PHP/MySQL programming, Web server administration (Windows IIS) knowledge of Apache server administration, and Windows 2003 server maintenance. Working knowledge of Joomla or Drupal administrative interfaces and site development. Experience with a range of programming and query languages, including HTML, CSS, and java_script. Experience with network systems and protocols, hardware, third party applications. Competent programming, honest and hard working

Narrative of Duties:
IT computer specialist position will have responsibilities for providing network, programming and IT services to a regional NSF funded botanical database & regional consortium project. These services will include assisting in web application development, maintaining computer operations, database systems as well as web site and Internet applications, web graphics and web multimedia techniques, including interactive data programming, filtering and file conversions.
 
Work Schedule
20 hours a week, $22,000. (plus a tuition waiver if a graduate student).
