We are seeking a programmer analyst with the following qualifications. Minimum three years experience building and deploying data-driven systems. Minimum three years work experience in at least two of the following programming languages: Ruby, Javascript, C#, C++, Perl. Minimum three years writing complex SQL queries. Minimum two years Microsoft SQL Server experience. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server SSIS is a plus. Experience in ETL or other data warehouse development is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required for the analyst aspect of the position. Minimum five years experience performing systems analyst duties such as: gathering user requirements, assessing business processes, developing business rules, translating requirements into technical specifications, and system validation/testing. Experience in creating detailed designs from technical specifications is required. Demonstrated experience in developing under a formal software development process. Experience in system administration (Windows and Linux) and network administration is a plus. A bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Able to work in the downtown Honolulu office. Must be a US Citizen and able to receive DOD security clearance.
The programmer analyst will be responsible for analysis, technical specification, technical design, and validation. Use SQL to build complex queries to answer client questions. Design, build, test, deploy, and run ETL applications. Follow our application lifecycle management methodology and other standards and contribute to their ongoing improvement. Continually refine and improve analysis and documentation process and deliverables. Provide reliable time estimates for assigned tasks. Update project managers and program managers with status of work. Prepare contract and technical documentation for the development team.
