Position Title:   HTDC Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program Coordinator

The High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC), an agency of the State of Hawaii, is responsible for promoting and advancing technology-based economic development in Hawaii.  It develops and manages incubation facilities and programs for all islands, oversees a variety of federally funded programs in outreach and innovation, and supports the internationalization of Hawaii’s technology community.

This is a federally funded position that is located in the executive offices of HTDC. The MEP Program Coordinator will mainly provide project support & assistance to the HTDC MEP Center Director & MEP project managers, reviewing documents to ensure State & Federal regulatory compliance plus assisting with tracking, compiling & entering project progress data. The MEP Program Coordinator will also support MEP marketing & promoting, coordinate MEP workshops and provide administrative support for requests for purchasing, travel and other administrative services.  The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new things in a fast-paced project oriented environment.  Enthusiasm to learn new things and working with limited supervision under broad guidelines exercising judgment and discretion requiring feedback to supervisors are highly expected.

Requirements include:  Bachelor’s degree and one (1) or more years of experience in a professional or project management support role;  strong written and oral communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office products for project and administrative support ; possess the ability to work as a team member; display discretion in matters of sensitivity & confidentiality.

This is a salaried, at-will position, exempt from civil service which features State benefits that includes vacation and sick leave, health coverage, life insurance and retirement.
