Portfolio Analyst (IT) # 013015 ( Kawaiaha'o Plaza, O'ahu)

Kamehameha Schools has a Portfolio Analyst (IT) position available at Kawaiaha'o Plaza, O'ahu. The deadline to apply: 10/31/2012.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information technology or related field, Economics, and/or Liberal Arts.

In lieu of Bachelor's Degree candidate will possess either (1) High School/Equivalent plus 6 years related work experience or (2) Vocational / Specialized Training in Project Analysis/Management, Accounting or Administrative with 4 years related work experience.

Summary of Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 - 3 years of related work experience. And, at least 1-2 years of specific work experience in the essential position responsibilities (please, see our website at www.ksbe.edu for a complete list of responsibilities).
  • Ability to perform numerical/financial analysis.
  • Ability to understand, design, plan, simplify, and implement complex, integrated processes.
  • Experience with Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Ability to design and implement organization structure and process changes across multiple delivery and support units.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with IT systems development lifecycles and associated processes.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and with highly confidential information.
  • Solid problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills to identify and resolve existing or potential problems.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to details.
  • Work flexible hours as necessary.
  • Valid driver's license.


Summary of Duties:

  • Provides analysis support of portfolio of Information Technology (IT) programs, projects, and requests.
  • Works with portfolio managers in all aspects of documenting project ideas, developing business case analyses for those ideas, prioritizing project ideas for approval, and monitoring the subset of ideas that KS leadership approves as projects.
  • Developing, managing, and maintaining portfolio management methodology and processes to ensure consistent execution and repeatable rigor in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within the portfolio.
  • Providing general support and coordination for the training and use of KS Portfolio and Project Management tools.
  • Assisting with facilitation of the IT Investment Council (ITIC) and communication of information about IT portfolios of projects and requests.
  • Drafting correspondence, documents, and minutes.
