NLP Researcher / Software Architect (will relocate to Honolulu)

Contix, a funded Honolulu-based startup, is seeking a senior NLP developer / researcher to work on our social media analytics for finance product. Contix offers a competitive startup compensation package with significant equity and the opportunity to work in Hawaii with a world class team of developers and designers.

Successful applicants will have a proven track record of successful execution on non-trivial NLP and machine learning software projects, a Master's degree or PhD in computer science (or a related field) and experience with two or more of the following domains:

• Natural language processing
• Machine learning
• Big data
• Social media analysis (sentiment, influencer, etc.)

We require a solid grounding in software architecture and design patterns. Strong knowledge of Ruby or Java is preferred, but we will consider exceptional applicants who meet all the other requirements.

Most importantly we look for applicants who have a passion for programming and the idea of building the world's greatest social media analytics product. Our interviews are rigorous, so only serious developers with the requisite skills need apply.

We provide a competitive startup compensation package including equity in the new company (Contix is being spun out as a new Ikayzo Group company.) We will pay to relocate qualified candidates as long as they are currently permitted to work in the United States. We cannot sponsor or transfer visas at this time.
