Blue Lava Technologies is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our technology team. This person will be responsible for working within the architecture and implementation phases of our core photo management products and services. We are building several methods to organize, share and distribute photos. This role will have the primary responsibility of feature set architecture and implementation against cross platform roll outs. We will expect you to have a commercially shipped product background that have shown your ability to problem solve as well as innovate. We will provide you with team support as well as a hard working fun environment located in the tropics of Hawaii. In return you'll be directly responsible for shaping a commercial product that will lead in the photo management market space.

What you’ll need:

- 3+ to 5 years of on staff experience developing commercial desktop applications

- Extensive experiences programming in Cocoa, Objective C, C/C++, with strong OO skills

- Proven track records of strong coding and individual accomplishments

- Extensive experiences in distributed systems

- Competence in systems-level Unix/Linux development

- Python experience a plus

- p2p experience a plus

- In-depth knowledge of network protocols and database design

- Must have at least a BS in Computer Science, highly recommended to have a MS/PhD in Computer Science.

- Equivalent work experience will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
