Junior Mechanical Engineer needed- Hawaii

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer for a permanent i.e. direct hire opportunity with benefits in Hawaii. This engineer will report to Project Engineer; Design Engineer . He/She will also need to liaison Project Leaders, Engineering Leaders, and other staff as necessary to ensure coordination of design function. He/She will also need to provide assistance to engineers and develop expertise in all facets of consulting work.

Responsibilities:

*Represent the company to a high professional standard at all times

*Participate in activities (discipline, multi-discipline, and others) to extend own knowledge

*Carry out project work under the direction of a Project Engineer within time and cost

budgets to achieve profitable projects

*Participate in the administration of projects in respect to site observations, review of shop

drawings, review contractor change orders and commissioning tests

*Follow procedures set out in the Lincolne Scott quality system to achieve the following:

*Conduct detail design and analyses to enable the preparation of documentation in

respect of assigned work

*Prepare documentation for bidding

*Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering services and with other

project team members

*Prepare cost estimates

*Participate in the administration of projects in respect of site observations, review of

shop drawings, review contractor change orders and commissioning tests

*Prepare reports for clients on matters relating to engineering services

Job Specification

*Associate Degree, Degree in Engineering

*General understanding of building services, with particular skills in at least one discipline

*Ability to communicate effectively

*Potential to manage and supervise design, finances and resources
