ABOUT BIDTOWORK

BidtoWork is a HiBeam-backed startup operating out of Hawaii Kai. We're building an online reverse auction platform that changes the way people interact with local businesses and non-profits. 

THE TEAM

Our team is small, but our Red Bull consumption is quite impressive. Cofounders include Shyrah Maurer (Up & Riding), Brooke Watson (SoHa), Evan Nagle (Mentalpez), and Chad Kumabe (Spilled Paint Studios). We're looking for employee #5--a senior-level developer with a background in .Net and/or MongoDB. Preferably you're a polyglot with a passion for programmatic aha's.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As you likely know, working for a startup is a task for the true (self-loathing?) generalist; we need someone who's interested in taking on difficult and novel technical problems, and able to learn and iterate quickly without much human hugging.  We're building our platform from scratch--no legacy code, no white label dependencies. So, we need someone who likes the look and feel of emptiness.

PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT

For the time being, you're probably sitting in it. The team is currently working remotely in our home offices, but we're hoping to have a place of business as soon as we find a good fit.

SKILLS

You must have a core proficiency in at least a handful of the following skills with a willingness to learn any skills of which you're not currently proficient:

• C#
• Asp.Net MVC 
• Entity Framework
• MongoDB and cloud-based DBA
• API (creation and consumption)
• HTML5 (or what exists of it)
• JavaScript (JSON, JavaScript MVC, jQuery, anything that Crockford whines about)
• CSS3 and LESS

PAYMENT

 We are a funded startup ready and willing to offer FTE. We'll entertain PTE, but FTE is strongly preferred.
