Job Description:
This position coordinates the technical resources required by the High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) and its projects in performance of its short-and long-term strategic goals. Work involves analysis of resources requirements, interfacing with internal management and external technical administrators, policy development, budget administration, planning appropriate migration paths to new or more effective technologies, working closely with HTDC’s strategic partners, and the control of information systems and telecommunication networks under HTDC.
Job Summary:
- Plans and executes network and IT services that support agency core initatives.
- Maintains all routers, switches, cabling infrastructure, and computers under HTDC cognizance.
- Resolves technical problems with LAN and WAN networks and services.
- Identifies and implements network and operating systems updates, and IT requirements as needed.
- Maintains and upgrades hardware and software, including websites, as needed.
- Monitors the health and status of production systems.
- Assists incubation tenants and clients with information and telecommunication issues.
- Supports and provides IT solutions for economic development projects and internal operations.
- Interfaces with other Hawaii State agencies, private telecommunication service providers and IT vendors to obtain required products and services,
- Supports other staff in IT matters.
- Prepares budget, program justification and contract scope of work.
