Instructional Technology Specialist (Limited Term) # 012796 (Kapālama Campus, O'ahu)

Kamehameha Schools has an Instructional Technology Specialist position available with the IT Education Services Department at Kapālama Campus, O'ahu. The deadline to apply: 9/16/2012

This is a Limited Term position until 6/30/2013.

Education:

Master's Degree in Educational Technology, Education or a related field. OR Bachelor's Degree in Educational Technology, Education or a related field and 5 years of classroom teaching and knowledge of technology and its integration into instruction.

Summary of Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years related work experience.
  • Must have some classroom teaching and technology integration experience.
  • Strong foundation in pedagogy and teaching methodologies.
  • Able to travel to outer island sites to provide service and support.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to design and develop curriculum integration training for faculty.
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend technology to effectively meet goals and objectives.
  • Immersed in a teaching/learning environment that effectively models integration of technology and facilitates conversations between subject matter experts and teachers to design and produce authentic products and services.
  • Working knowledge of Macintosh and PC systems, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Working knowledge of the Internet/Intranet and video technologies.

Summary of Duties:

  • Supports student learning through facilitating the integration of technology into curriculum and instruction.
  • Provides services to Kamehameha Schools' K-12 campuses, Community-Based Early Childhood Education (CBECE) and Extension Education Division (EED).
  • Provides support to the faculty, instructional staff and administration on integrating technology in the curriculum.
  • Consults on the design, specification and request for appropriate technology tools, conducts appropriate one-on-one, small and large group professional development training.
  • Coordinates Educational Technology Services (ETS) initiatives.
  • Attends grade level/team/department meetings to assist faculty with integration of technology into the curriculum.
  • Develops and implements a wide range of professional development solutions for faculty and learning modules for students, as well as administers evaluations to assess effectiveness of content and delivery.
