Kamehameha Schools is a private, educational, charitable trust founded and endowed by the legacy of a Hawaiian Princess, Bernice Pauahi Bishop. Kamehameha Schools operates a statewide educational system enrolling more than 6,500 students of Hawaiian ancestry at K-12 campuses on O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i and over 30 preschool sites statewide. Kamehameha Schools hires over 500 employees each year, and employs over 3,000 staff members throughout the organization.


To support our operation, Kamehameha Schools is hiring for an Instructional Developer in the Information Technology Division.  The deadline to apply for this position is:  6/15/2013.  Below are summaries of the minimum qualifications for the Instructional Developer position and of the Information Technology Division:


Summary of Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Educational Technology, Curriculum & Instruction, Communications/Multi-Media, Information Technology, Education.
  • 3 -5 years of related work experience.
  • Have knowledge of established educational/enterprise-focused methodologies for instructional design, education technology and curriculum development using a variety of technology tools (HTML, Articulate, Hype, etc.).
  • Proficiency in both the Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac operating system environments as well as in core enterprise applications such as all Microsoft Office products, Adobe products, (such as Creative Suite, Flash, Photoshop, etc.), internet browsers and Microsoft Sharepoint.

 

Division Summary:  The Information Technology Division (ITD) at Kamehameha Schools, provides support to the organization and operating departments in all activities related to information technology management including: technical support applications development, systems maintenance, hardware/software solutions, security provisions, networking, planning and architecture, and instructional technologies.  ITD strives to be a collaborative partner with education and business units to provide relevant and appropriate technology solutions to help the organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
