Job Summary: |
Entry level position in Information Systems. Business knowledge in healthcare extremely desirable. Looking for ambitious individuals with good communication and leadership skills. Must have a willingness to learn analyst and technical skills. |
Duties and Responsibilities: |
1. Participates in the project planning process with team members, sometimes with clients and business analysts. 2. Assists in the development of work plan timelines. May manage workflows to meet sub-project timeframes. 3. May participate in the identification of system requirements. 4. Complies with architecture processes, principles, policies and standards. 5. May design components for small solutions. 6. May develop technical specifications for applications. Makes recommendations for the development of new code or reuse of existing code. 7. Utilizes current data guidelines. 8. Utilizes middleware tools for designing and developing solutions when required. 9. Develops or modifies application components using disciplined software development processes. 10. Complies with quality standards and procedures. 11. Conducts unit testing to ensure application meets specifications. 12. Documents new or modified components and testing activities/results. 13. Provides ongoing maintenance of applications. 14. May analyze existing applications to identify and document opportunities for improvements. 15. Makes components production ready by moving them to libraries, completing forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc. 16. Assists in providing Tier II (application) support. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
1. Associate's degree in programming/systems or computer science, specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience. 2. Knowledge of general business practices. 3. Requires proficiency in end-user development tools. |
