Food Hunt for Charity Challenge to Benefit Lanakila Meals on Wheels

Aloha TechHui!

Locokinegrindz.com in partnership with Lanakila Pacific would like to invite you all to join in on Hawaii's first annual "Food Hunt for Charity" Challenge!

The "Food Hunt for Charity" challenges foodies across Oahu to seek out and grind on 50 specific foods at 50 specific local restaurants.

For each participant that hits a certain benchmark on the hunt list (ex. 10 out of 50, 30 out of 50, or 50 out of 50!), the Food Hunt for Charity and its sponsors will donate monies to Lanakila Meals on Wheels!  The Meals on Wheels program assists thousands of Hawaii's seniors every year by providing hot meals, monitoring services, and health/nutrition education.

The first person to hunt down all 50 foods within the 90 day challenge period will be declared the winner and earn themselves the grand prize!  Prizes will also be given out for runner ups and other random drawings.

More information is available on this charity event at http://www.foodhuntforcharity.com.  Participants who register before the contest start date of May 1st, 2010 and complete at least 10 out of 50 foods on their hunt list will be automatically entered for an additional prize drawing just for signing up early!

So please join in on the fun and excitement!  Invite your friends and family!  Enjoy hunting for delicious grinds, support local businesses, and support and increase awareness for a great cause!

Thank you for reading!  A special mahalo to the staff at TechHui for helping us to spread the word about this charity event!

Right now our total donation pool is up to $2,200. I'm a one-man operation trying to organize, promote, and solicit donors for this event. My personal goal is to get the donation pool up to $4,000 by finding additional sponsors, but only time can tell if I'll hit that number (hopefully I can exceed it!).

I could probably sell this idea to a lot of people, do you know how much are they actually donating?
Thanks a bunch I appreciate any help in getting the word out on the event for participants and sponsors. I really want to make this first go-around successful enough that I can host it as an annual charity event for Lanakila Meals on Wheels.

Mahalo again!
