Kamehameha Schools has an ES Systems Analyst position available at KS Kapālama Campus, O‘ahu. Deadline to apply: 11/11/2011.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, MIS, Business Administration, or closely related field.

OR

High School Diploma PLUS 10 years of experience in systems analysis, project management, user support or IT related solutions development & implementation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in systems analysis, project management, user support, or IT related solutions development & implementation.
  • Knowledge of the Internet/Intranet, WWW, etc., to assist users in completing connectivity with requested hosts.
  • Full knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, HyperText Transfer Protocol, File Transfer Protocol and various other protocols.
  • LAMP (Linux/Apache/MyStructuredQueryLanguage/PHypertextPreprocessor) and TCP/IP experiences are required.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and handle complex, multiple, simultaneous projects and meet established timelines and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to understand processes and identify common cause effect impacting a process and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to analyze and conceptualize, and to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and with highly confidential information.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to work effectively with management and staff at various levels in the organization as part of a technical team.
  • Ability to facilitate group meeting and demonstrate the ability to drive to consensus.
  • Ability to be flexible, learn new systems and processes as required.
  • Ability to use standard PC & Client/Server applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of and experience in automating office processes using standard office desktop applications.
  • Skilled in system integration of desktop applications to corporate applications and databases.


Duties:

  • Serves as System Administrator for application processing systems (e.g., Powerfaids, Student Information System [Student Management System] etc.).
  • Training development and delivery for both trainers and end users.
  • Evaluates user requests for systems requirements and conducts studies to develop recommendations for implementation of new systems and/or electronic processes to meet users' needs.
  • Follows the Kamehameha Schools service request, SDLC, and change management processes to analyze user needs, develop solutions and satisfy requirements.
  • Executes queries to the Education Technology Services-Education Technology Operations systems to support business, statistical and operational reporting.
  • Leads and supports ETS-ETOS' technology emphasis through website development and maintenance, web reporting, application deployment and maintenance, periodic e-mail communications, E-room administration, vendor contact and relationship management.
  • Serves as the primary contact for Education Support Services Information Technology assigned related initiatives.
  • Analyzes, designs and recommends computer hardware/software to support users' functions.
  • Works with Programmer Analysts, Micro Specialists, and other Information Technology Division staff to ensure users' needs are met.
  • Participates in implementation, conversion and training plans for projects.
  • Understands and supports Kamehameha Schools' educational and financial aid programs by providing requested data and adhering to established timelines and deadlines for ESS processing.
