Data Security Analyst needed- Hawaii

We require a Data Security Analyst with IT Audit experience for a direct hire opportunity in Honolulu. Experience working for the banking industry or financial institutions is preferred but not required.

Job Description:

The Data Security Analyst performs risk assessments of electronic and paper-based processes and recommends solutions to improve data security. This includes writing and maintaining policies, procedures, and working with business units to develop and improve security awareness. Performs periodic reviews of procedures, systems and internal and outsourced applications to ensure compliance with information security policies, procedures, standards, and legal and regulatory compliance. Assists in reporting status of data security programs and projects to management.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or four years of experience in information technology working with mainframe, distributed systems, network security, compliance and/or audit required with two years in data security. Self-starter, able to quickly learn data security functions with attention to detail, follow-through and record keeping. Possesses good interpersonal skills to interact and communicate, verbally and written, with management, peers, technical and business unit staff. Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
