Computer Technician/Network Administrator

Position Details:
Responsibilities
Manage an organization's PC and backbone architecture. Duties for this position include the installation, configuration and upgrade of network servers and network systems components (i.e. routers, hubs, and switches); diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with network components; performing preventative maintenance on network components; connecting and integrating servers and network components to both the local network and the Internet; setting up peripheral devices; tweaking settings, adding/upgrading hardware and software on servers and network components to improve their performance; and enabling peripherals on PCs.
Required Skills and Experience
The position requires an A.A. degree and/or Certificate in Computer Technology or the equivalent and a minimum of five years of experience in a related field, with experience in installing and maintaining network-level servers and network components. Experience with DoD networks is preferred.
The individual shall have a working knowledge of Microsoft servers and PC operating systems, with an emphasis on Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows XP and Active Directory.
