Business Analyst I # 013168 (Kawaiaha‘o Plaza, O‘ahu)

Kamehameha Schools has a Business Analyst I position available with our Technology Delivery Services team at Kawaiaha‘o Plaza, O‘ahu. Deadline to apply: 12/24/2012.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Business Process Re-engineering or closely related field. In lieu of Bachelor's Degree, High School Diploma, GED or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in an IT or related environment.

Summary of Minimum Requirements:

  • With Bachelor's Degree: 2-3 years of related work experience in IT or related environment doing business analysis and user engagement support.
  • With High School Diploma, GED or equivalent: 4+ years of experience in an IT or related environment.
  • Ability to elicit requirements by employing a variety of techniques including understanding and assessing end-user environment and perspective.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a cohesive team as well as independently, as necessary.
  • Ability to develop and maintain clear and concise analysis documentation, appropriate to the situation.
  • Ability to resolve complex non-technical and moderately complex technical issues
  • Good knowledge and familiarity with Mac and PC hardware and software (MS-0ffice, Adobe products, etc)


Summary of Duties:

  • Provide business analysis, technical skills, knowledge and experience to support the department operations.
  • Evaluate technology requirements to determine best fit solutions.
  • Reconcile technology-related issues.
  • Actively engage in projects and initiatives and recommend desktop technology standards through collaboration.
  • Acquire technology through purchases/leases.
  • Analyze operational issues and recommend best practice solutions.
  • Provide analysis and management reporting.
  • Participate in vendor RFPs and management and support internal tracking systems.
