Better Place - Project Manager, Hawaii - Contract position

OVERVIEW:

Better Place has a unique opportunity for a project manager to join our Hawaii organization. Better Place provides a dynamic, fast paced work environment for an individual looking to be part of a
company with an ambitious plan to have a significant, positive impact on the
planet/environment. Better
Place deploys an electric charging grid that provides an alternative to
gas-consuming automobiles. We grow from country to country, metropolis to
metropolis. Each step of the way, we move closer to making electric vehicles
available to the public. We are looking for a project manager who will be an
integral part of this mission. This position will be based Hawaii.

DUTIES:

The project manager is part of the Better Place organization in Hawaii. Better Place will be deploying electric vehicle charging infrastructure across Hawaii and the project manager will lead implementation of this effort.  The project manager will be tasked with
activities such as:

·       Coordinating across multidisciplinary teams as well as working with the global subsidiaries on their go-to-market activities

·       Partnering and knowledge sharing with local government and local utilities to ensure that the project runs smoothly and according to the scope

·       Creating, tracking and updating strategic and operational plans

·       Creating, tracking and updating budgets

·       Coordinate activities with team members in California and Israel as we build a network with multiple dimensions and stakeholders

·       Lead continuous improvement of project management tandards, practices and tools

·       Coordination of marketing & education outreach

EXPERIENCE:

This position will be key in the effective and on-time deployment of electric vehicle services equipment EVSE in Hawaii. It requires a passionate and dedicated person that
can get things done in a very fast paced, unstructured environment. We are
looking for a strong team player that is willing to roll-up their sleeves.

·       7+ years in a Project Management position

·       Telecommunications industry experience a plus

·       Proven experience working within the state of Hawaii and an in-depth understanding of Hawaiian business practices is a plus

·       Engineering experience also desired

EDUCATION:
