The Application Support Manager is responsible for managing the support team and providing 24 x 7 application and technical support to our customers. The ideal candidate has previous experience in production support and incident management, works well under pressure, is flexible and is able to interface well with clients and partner teams. This candidate will oversee all activities related to support and maintenance of the application systems. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining application work orders, conducting root cause analysis, managing relationships /communications with our clients and our partner teams.
Essential Functions (include but not limited to):
Troubleshoot, assign and manage support tickets to ensure clients questions and/or issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
Point of contact for client issues escalation.
Manage, coordinate troubleshoot and apply software upgrades, patches and patient management interface upgrades.
Create processes, procedures and policies to set internal and external expectations.
Balance business goals, resources and budget through prioritization
Project manager for client work requests. Analyze problems and manage operational and technical aspects of a project and scope, working with clients and managing project tasks and personnel from project initiation to closing.
Manage 3rd party vendors, as necessary
Conduct client support meetings and presentations to internal and external teams.
Provide technical support training and leadership to support team personnel.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
5-7 years of Management Experience.
7 - 10 years relevant Production Support and incident management experience.
Ability to troubleshoot issues related to application deployment, functionality, and performance.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Technical aptitude, ability to learn new systems quickly
Strong leadership skills and exceptional communication skills (written & verbal).
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or related discipline.
EHR or PM application experience (preferred)
Extensive experience with SQL, and shell scripts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
Experience with creating, implementing and supporting processes, procedures, and documentation relating to incident management or systems operations is a must.
Vendor and project management experience. (PMP preferred)
Healthcare knowledge a plus
