Anyone have experience with AVR Micros and AVRDUDE?

Anyone have any experience programming AVR microcontrollers? Specifically the ATtinys? I am trying to download a hex file onto an AVR ATtiny13a micro, but have had nothing but error messages from AVRDUDE.

I am powering VCC and GROUND from my arduino board. The color code is as follows:

Green: MISO
Blue: SCK
YELLOW: RST

RED: VCC
ORANGE: MOSI
BLACK: GRND

Just incase anyone else is interested in the AVR micros...

I had the header pin out reversed. This is what it should look like:
