Event Description

Fully understand the anatomy of WordPress Themes, including child themes, template hierarchy and the new Theme Customization API introduced in WordPress 3.4.  Learn how to build efficient, flexible and multilingual-ready themes that works well with the widest array of plugins possible.  We'll cover the latest Theme Review Guidelines and coding standards provided by the WordPress Theme Review Team to ensure the themes we build are not only efficient & competent, but also sustainable.  Find out how to release your theme in the public WordPress Themes Directory, or monetize your development efforts by releasing a commercial theme.

 

John LeBlanc is an independent WordPress specialist and web developer. He’s been developing websites and web content management solutions professionally since 1997, serving as the first staff webmaster at CBS in Boston. In 2005, he launched his own consultancy and currently works with a wide range of clients in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Manila.
