The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Department of Information and Computer Science (ICS) is hosting WetWare Wednesday at one of their newest facilities, the Laboratory for Advanced Visualization & Application (LAVA)! LAVA was founded in 2014 by Jason Leigh- director Emeritus of the Electronic Visualization Laboratory (EVL) at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The mission of LAVA is to conduct research and development in big data visualization techniques, and to apply these techniques in cutting edge domain science, engineering, and training applications. And this is just the beginning. Come check out what they can do and some of the cool ICS projects that take advantage of LAVA. |
