Venture Capital Deal of the Year - HVCA

The Hawaii Venture Capital Association is proud to announce its annual Venture Capital Deal of the Year Event to be held January 22, 2009 at the Plaza Club. This year we have had several dramatic fundings that have put Hawaii on the map as an exciting place to grow a technology company. We will have several honorees representing a variety of tech sectors including renewable energy. Representative Lynn Finnegan will be our honored speaker.

The names of the companies will be announced at the event and the company CEO will be present to talk about their company and its future plans. This is an important year to recognize companies that have raised a significant amount of funds. Due to the global economic crisis and local attacks on Act 221 we must demonstrate that Hawaii has a viable tech sector that is actively contributing to the local economy, creating great jobs and tapping into the global marketplace.

“This is the only annual event in Hawaii that honors the heroic efforts of entrepreneurs and investors who are staking their reputations and hard earned dollars to build a tech economy in Hawaii,” said Bill Spencer, HVCA President.
