with Maria Giudice
A great website is the byproduct of team members working in collaboration, utilizing either a five-step human-centered design process (Waterfall) or a rapid iterative design and development process (Agile). Learn the differences and similarities of each process, how to determine which process makes sense for your project, and variations in each approach. Learn the different team roles, required skill sets for each team member, and when they own, influence or participate in the process. Real-world deliverables will be shared and discussed. The scoping process, and how to lead a great kickoff meeting with your client, will be covered, too.
Maria Giudice is the CEO and Founder of Hot Studio, Inc., a San Francisco- and New York-based, experience design company dedicated to making the complex beautifully clear. Maria is considered a pioneer in the field of information architecture and was prominently featured in the 1996 book Information Architects by Richard Saul Wurman. Maria has co-authored two best-selling books about web design: Web Design Essentials and Elements of Web Design. Since 1997, Maria has lead Hot Studio's team of individuals committed to creating design systems that are both beautiful and highly functional.
