There's a lot of discussion going on in this year's legislative
session about Internet privacy, technology and broadband and I thought it would be a good idea to have a tech town hall to discuss these issues. At a minimum we can get an idea of what is going on with some of these bills. Ideally, organize a response.
I know this is last minute but the Greenhouse has made themselves available for us to meet this Wed 2/8 at 6pm. This is conveniently after our radio show on which we will feature Peter Kay and Dan Leuck talking about several of these bills.

Make no mistake: The future of our industry is at stake.
This year the legislature has sponsor a slew of bills aimed at our industry. Many have good intent, but all of them, sooner or later, will result in the kind of regulation that other industries have seen which results in less innovation, less jobs, higher costs, and less opportunity for all.
For decades, tech was left untouched and we have enjoyed unmatched growth and innovation. This will all start to come to an end once the hand of government gets involved in our industry.
Let's not let that happen. Please be at this event, get educated on what's going on, and then get involved.
Your industry's future is at stake. That means nothing less than your own future. Think I'm overdoing it? Show me a heavily regulated industry that's not fraught with high entrance costs, crony capitalists, and sluggish growth.
